United Aromatherapy Effort Inc
The United Aromatherapy Effort, Inc. is a non profit organization born out of the September 11th tragedy. The mission of the UAE is collection and distribution of aromatherapy products thru emergency response teams such as the Carolina Emergency Response Massage team (CERMT). During five deployments to New York (November to March, 2001) the UAE/CERMT Team distributed over $5000 worth of donated aromatherapy products and performed over 3000 chair massages in relief centers, councelling centers, and FDNY firehouses. Twenty two firehouses in Manhattan, Bronx, and Brooklyn were adopted and set up with aromatherapy supplies through the Adopt-A-Station Program.
