Essential Oil Injury Reports
Have you or someone you know had an adverse reaction from the use of essential oils?
Part of our mission is to help show that adverse effects from using essential oils do happen. The more we know about these injuries, the more we can help prevent them with proper education. We need to be able to self-regulate our field before our practices become further regulated by the government—limiting the use of essential oils for healing.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are currently not collecting data on essential oil injuries. Additionally, the website that hosted all the previous reports is no longer available, so those reports are not up for viewing at this time. However, we do hope to be able to get those back out in the future.
Until then, the Tisserand Institute Adverse Reaction Database is another resource for essential oil injury reports. Also, The Unspoken Truth About Essential Oils Facebook group has a specific focus on awareness about the safe use of essential oils, and the support of individuals that have been injured by them.
