You are responsible for protecting your account and any login credentials. You must notify us if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
4. User Responsibilities
4.1 Acceptable Use

5. Intellectual Property Rights
5.1 Our Intellectual Property
All features, content, educational material, products (both virtual and physical), and functionality of our Services, such as text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, downloads, software, and the compilation thereof, are owned by us, our licensors, or other providers and are protected under copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.
You may not reproduce this material in any way and are prohibited from copying, distributing, transmitting, sharing, displaying, publishing, selling, licensing or modifying anything, whether by digital or physical without our written consent. Any unauthorized use of our materials will constitute infringement of copyright.
With written permission, links to articles, blogs, infographics and other public resources on our TisserandInstitute.org website, or quotes from therein, may be included on your website, newsletter or other offering, so long as credit is given, a link to the original article is provided and the purpose of the website/offering is not to sell or promote a product, or endorse a brand. In addition, our articles or blogs may be translated into other languages, as long as the above conditions are met. Information that is only accessible with a secure account should not be shared publicly, including information in databases and learning platform— including, but not limited to, all course materials and our Materia Aromatica Profiles.
You may “share” our information through the share buttons on our site, which automatically attribute the information to Atlantic Institute of Aromatherapy | Aromatic Elements, LLC, and this site.
Social Media:
Links to articles, blogs, and other resources on our website may be shared on social media for the purpose of education, as long as they’re not used in conjunction with the promotion of a product or to endorse a brand. Posts and shared articles from our official social media pages may be shared freely by using official ‘share’ functions, where the Atlantic Institute page name is retained.
5.2 License to Use
We give you a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license to use our Services for only your personal, non-commercial use. Absolutely NO PART of our copyrighted publications or materials may be copied in any way, or shared with anyone not already owning the material, NOR can any of the material be adapted for teaching.
6. Third-Party Services
We do not control and assume no responsibility for the features, content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites.
7. Refund Policy
Our products are non-refundable due to copyright. We offer a replacement for physical goods damaged in transit only. However, in the case of an accidental purchase, we will refund your payment in full if you request a refund immediately after purchase. At the time of refund, you will lose access to all virtual materials, and any physical products will not be shipped.
Refund requests should be sent by email to in**@***************te.com or through the form on our Contact page.
If a refund is granted, the refund will be issued within 48 hours of your approved request and issued directly to the credit card you used to make the purchase. Refund transactions usually take 3-5 business days to appear on your statement, though actual time is determined by your banking institution.
Please note that non-completion of any course material or assessments is not grounds for a refund claim.
8. Payment Methods
We’re as worried about your online safety as we are about you using essential oils safely.
For that reason, we prefer to have your actual payment handled by a site that’s set up for serious security. We’re secure, but our Third-Party processors like Stripe and PayPal are more secure. Through them, we gladly accept various payment methods like Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit cards. You do not have to have a PayPal account in order to pay by credit card through their system. When you check out on our site, you will be redirected to the PayPal or Stripe site, where you can be assured that the security is at the utmost level.
After payment, you will be directed back to our site, and it will show that your order has been placed. You will also receive an email confirmation of the order and payment.
9. Orders/Shipping
Most of our products are virtual, and if you experience any errors or problems, please contact us immediately so that we may resolve the issue. If you are purchasing a course for a friend, family member, employee, or any other individual, we suggest having a written agreement in place between the payee and the learner, as courses cannot be transferred or refunded due to conflict, employment termination, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Orders of physical products:
In the event that we’ve made an error in packing your order, we will correct it in a timely fashion. Timely means as quickly as we shipped your order to begin with. We will be responsible for any shipping in this case.
At this time, we only ship through USPS Priority Mail. You will receive a tracking number for your package.
For any international orders, the customer is responsible for getting the package through customs and paying any duties or taxes that apply. We reserve the right not to ship to certain countries. We cannot guarantee safe delivery or be held liable for orders shipped outside of the United States in the event of damages, missing or delayed shipments, customs duties, or clearance, etc.
10. Disclaimers
